Dallas County Judge Clay Jenkins reported a four-day total of 9,381 new COVID-19 cases and nine deaths on Wednesday.

There were 4,082 patients in North Texas hospitalized with COVID-19 on Wednesday, representing 27 percent of all beds, and a slight decrease yesterday. The adult ICU patients represent 45.8 percent of all ICU patients.

The Biden administration is making 400 million N95 masks available next week, now that officials are emphasizing their increased protection against the omicron variant. The federal government is also offering four COVID-19 home tests per household, which can be found here.

UT Southwestern’s modeling predicts that North Texas will hit a record high for hospitalized patients with COVID-19, the Dallas Morning News reports. On Tuesday, there were 4,110 regional patients hospitalized with COVID-19, just a few dozen shy of the pick last January.
