Dallas County Judge Clay Jenkins reported 3,602 new COVID-19 cases and six deaths on Friday.

COVID-19 ‘Stealth’ Omicron or BA.1 variant is the latest mutation recently found in North Texas. It is reportedly difficult to detect and spreads more easily than the already highly contagious Omicron virus. Read more about where it has spread and what is currently known about the virus here.

Richardson ISD cites declining COVID-19 cases, resulting in the end of their mask mandate this Friday.  Beginning Monday, face masks will be encouraged but not required at school. Read more here.
