Upon his departure to Old Trafford in May, Ajax presented Ten Hag with a farewell video on social media, which included past and present players wishing him well for the future.
Antony vowed to ‘stand with’ his former manager in the video, and now Red Devils fans are beseeching him to stay true to his word.

The 22-year-old said to Ten Hag in the message: ‘I want to wish you all the best at your new club.
‘I also want to thank you for everything you taught me. I am thankful [for] all the opportunities and learning every day.

Manchester United officials flew to Amsterdam on Monday in an effort to finalise the Antony deal, according to the Sun.
The Red Devils chiefs must bat away competition from top six rivals Spurs, who are reportedly expressing interest in the Brazilian international as well.
Fans were expecting the squad to undergo an overhaul this summer in support of their new boss, but no incoming deals have yet been agreed at Old Trafford.
A handful of supporters took to social media to implore Antony to keep his vow, in the hope that he would become the first new signing of the Ten Hag era.
Several fans told the winger that the Dutch manager ‘needs you now’ in response to his farewell statement, whilst one said the ‘foreshadowing’ of Antony’s message gave them ‘goosebumps’.

Whilst Manchester United have struggled to kick into gear, a lot of their competitors have enjoyed very busy transfer windows.
Liverpool signed Darwin Nunez for a club-record fee of £85m, Manchester City captured Erling Haaland on a £51m deal and Spurs spent £25m on Brighton’s Yves Bissouma.

The Dutch head coach brought Antony to Ajax from Sao Paulo in 2020 for an initial fee of £13m, before developing him into a star at the club.
He notched 12 goals and 10 assists in all competitions last campaign, guiding Ajax to a third Eredivisie title in four years.
His team-mate Jurrien Timber and former Ajax star Frenkie de Jong have also been linked with a moves to Old Trafford but negotiations seem to have stalled in recent weeks.
