Week 1 has a ton of attention-getting matchups, but the league didn’t stockpile that week at the expense of Week 2, as the NFL Week 2 odds provide more than a few interesting wagering opportunities.

There is a quartet of matchups of 2021 playoff teams, including Tennessee at Buffalo, Cincinnati at Dallas, Arizona at Las Vegas and New England at Pittsburgh. These clubs all have playoff aspirations for the 2022 season, so these contests should be very popular at NFL betting sites.

This week’s slate also contains five interdivisional battles: Chicago at Green Bay, Indianapolis at Jacksonville, the Los Angeles Chargers at Kansas City, Tampa Bay at New Orleans and Seattle at San Francisco. The Chargers-Chiefs and Buccaneers-Saints matchups will both be crucial in determining the eventual winners of the AFC West and NFC South, so sports betting apps will see a lot of action on the NFL Week 2 betting lines for these games.

Week 2 also has a Monday Night Football doubleheader, with the Titans-Bills matchup kicking things off at 7:15 p.m. ET and then the Vikings-Eagles contest overlapping it starting at 8:30 p.m. ET. That first matchup will be very popular for New York betting sites, as Buffalo will be looking to get an advantage over one of its top AFC rivals.

In addition, having two games at the same time will make this a very popular evening for online sportsbooks, as sports bettors will enjoy putting together parlays on these contests.

Thursday, Sept. 15

LA Chargers at Kansas City – 8:15 p.m. ET

The winner of this Chargers-Chiefs powerhouse AFC West matchup will see its Super Bowl odds greatly increase, as these clubs are two of the favorites to win the AFC.

This series had been dominated by Kansas City for a while, as the Chiefs had won 12 out of 13 contests by September 2020, but it has been a toss-up ever since Justin Herbert upgraded the Chargers quarterback position and allowed Los Angeles to go toe-to-toe with Patrick Mahomes.

An interesting element here is that the Chiefs offseason moves may indicate a desire to go with more of a run-centric approach. That could make the over/under on the NFL Week 2 odds for this contest a highly intriguing wager.

Sunday, Sept. 18

Chicago Bears at Green Bay Packers – 8:20 p.m. ET

Even though the Bears have won only one game in this series since 2016, this is still must-see television because of the ongoing enmity between these clubs. Aaron Rodgers taunted Bears fans last year during a 24-14 win in October, but the December matchup between these clubs racked up 75 points, so the over/under trend in this one will be anyone’s guess when wagering on the NFL Week 2 betting lines for this game.

It might be a good idea to go low in that type of wager, as Green Bay will be hard pressed to replicate the production lost when Davante Adams went to the Raiders. There is added importance to this contest so it is one of only two divisional games that Chicago and Green Bay will have in the first nine weeks of the season.

Monday, Sept. 12

Tennessee Titans at Buffalo Bills – 7:15 p.m. ET

One cannot overstate the importance of this game for Tennessee, as Ryan Tannehill admitted that it took him months to get over the playoff loss to Cincinnati. The Titans start the season with a matchup against the Giants, a middling NFC foe, so this will be the first tough test to see if this club has truly put that postseason loss behind them. They opened as more than a touchdown underdog in NFL odds for this game.

The hook on the opening NFL Week 2 odds are the kind of wager that may motivate New York sports fans sign up for a BetMGM NY bonus code that provides a risk-free first bet of up to $1,000, as they may want to make that risk-free first bet on this matchup.

Keep an eye on the Super Bowl betting futures for the Bills after this one, as a convincing victory could shorten their odds even more.

Minnesota Vikings at Philadelphia Eagles – 8:30 p.m. ET

The NFL Week 2 odds on the Vikings-Eagles matchup might not seem as compelling as the Tennessee-Buffalo game, but Minnesota and Philadelphia both battled for the final playoff spot in the NFC until the last week of the season, so this contest could provide a much-needed tiebreaking edge.

It will also be interesting to see how Kirk Cousins and Jalen Hurts adjust to the offseason personnel changes that could notably alter the state of their platoons in 2022.

Top NFL Week 2 Promo Codes

Many sports bettors like to wait until they see how things play out before starting to make a serious dive into wagering. If you are in that category, Week 2 could be a great time to look around to find the best sportsbook bonus codes.

If getting built-in upside is your ticket, you will want to consider signing up for the Caesars Sportsbook promo code MCBETCZR that gives new customers a risk-free first bet of up to $1,500. That should greatly increase the odds of making that first wager a successful one, after which you will be able to partake of the dozens of odds boosts that Caesars Sportsbook posts daily.

The BetMGM bonus code MCBET is a tremendous deal for those who like to get upside via parlay bets, as BetMGM has multiple types of parlay generators that will allow you to customize pretty much any type of parlay bet you can think of. The BetMGM bonus code also provides a risk-free first bet of up to $1,000, which should help you build a solid bankroll with which to make those parlay wagers.
