Apisai Koroisau been crucial to the mountain men’s success in recent years and is free to play for Ivan Cleary’s side after being named in the extended Blues squad.

The Panthers are missing Nathan Cleary, Jarome Luai, Liam Martin, Stephen Crichton, Isaah Yeo and Brian To’o who will all take part in the series opener.

Playmaker Kurt Falls will make his first grade debut alongside Sean O’Sullivan in the halves, facing off against former teammate Matt Burton.

Burton’s Bulldogs have seen a huge upheaval in the coaching on playing group in recent weeks, losing coach Trent Barrett as well as winger Brent Naden.

The Canterbury-Bankstown side currently sit in last place in the ladder and will be desperate for a win against the Panthers who were unable to notch any points Round 13 and 14 last year.
