The Wachowskis Are Auctioning Off a Warehouse of Magical Props to Support Trans Youth

There is no spoon, but there’s a lot of other cool stuff.

Lilly Wachowski announced on Saturday that she and her sister, Lana Wachowski, are doing some spring cleaning. Their “Raiders of the Lost Ark warehouse,” as she put it, may not have the ark of the covenant, but it does have “some pretty major and magical artifacts.”

To that end, the creators of The Matrix have put a wide selection of material from across their careers (and also from their private stash) up for auction. Absentee bids are currently being accepted online, and the big event is May 12 at 10 A.M. central time. (The Wachowskis remain true to Chicago, always.) The booklet, in fancy PDF form, is available to all

The best part is that proceeds will go to the Protect & Defend Trans Youth Fund, a charity Ariana Grande debuted on April 1 that will distribute money to 18 different organizations “advocating for the rights of trans youth in states currently targeted by anti-trans policies.” Grande said she will match the dollar amount up to $1.5 million, and with the fund at over $784,000 before the Wachowski auction has even kicked into gear, it looks likely that the number will be reached.

The Wachowskis have 189 lots up for bid, and responses may range from a Keanu-esque “whoa!” to a “what the hell?” (Now is your chance to have your own IGN Award.) To that end, we’ve examined what’s available and have determined our top dozen picks, provided we had access to someone else’s Amex Platinum card.

Lot 11: The screen-used “execution helmet” worn by Bae Doona in Cloud Atlas. (Strap this on at the club and people will know you mean business.)

Lot 30: The gravity boots worn by Channing Tatum in Jupiter Ascending.

Lot 36: One of many cast resin and metal weapons from Jupiter Ascending, but this one has a rotating cylinder and most resembles a giant beetle.
